Business Insurance
Due to the variety of policies and businesses specifications, we recommend you contact your usual contact to discuss your circumstances.
However, please find some general guidance:
Do I still need employers’ liability even though staff are homeworking or furloughed?
Employers’ liability insurance is a legal requirement for limited companies, partnerships and sole traders when they employ staff. The introduction of homeworking and furlough as a result of the pandemic has not changed this requirement.
Am I covered for business contents whilst working from home?
You will need to speak with your broker but many insurers have clarified or adapted their policy to extend cover to include business equipment at home.
Do I still need business interruption insurance?
Many businesses have been forced to close and despite not trading, it is advised to keep the cover in case of any loss from fire or flood damage.
